Tensions are running high this election season, and that's created some toxicity online and in-person. In part one of this two-part series, The North County Beat host Kelli Kyle and Coast News Encinitas reporter Caitlin Steinberg team up to break down some of the ugliness, and how we got to this point.

Diversity and inclusion (D&I) have been at the forefront of many local, state and national discussions. Kelli spoke with Bernardo Ferdman, a psychology professor and consultant specializing in this work, to dive deeper into what these topics mean and why you've been hearing about them.

Social media accounts alleging discrimination at The Classical Academies and other local San Diego schools open the door to a conversation on how these institutions approach diversity, inclusion and accountability.
